This is the piece that got my work into the Gallery of Wearable Art in NYC--the buyer at which was looking for, as he put it, "...something...different....and original." It is the prototype for the bag described in the data on item number 1. It has a particularly rich blackness--the knitted "fur" upper half was unusually lustrous, as was the crocheted bottom of rayon and acrylic fibers. The shape is fairly stiff Reinforced plastic mesh, and the lining is black satin. The glass beading is jet and hematite. The bag, like the others in the series, opens by pulling down on the cord below the cluster of beads center top and closes by pulling out with the two triangular hematite beads on loops. The shoulder strap (not shown) is heavy black-silk upholstery cord.
Size: Six inches across and nine inches high.
