VERY "TODAY"

The highly charged colors of this day-/evening bag make it very au courant. It has a stiffened oval base crocheted in a basketweave pattern in a costly hand-dyed half-inch rayon ribbon that shades from turquoise through red through violet to yellow. The upper portion is knitted for softness and flexibilty. The dark-red silk rattail drawstring closure is secured by a one-of-a-kind handmade iridescent swirled art-glass bead (check out the closeup) and a matching handmade hanging tassel in colors that pick up those in the hand-dyed ribbon. It is lined in violet satin and hangs from a long hot-pink silk upholstery cord, covered at the point where it hits the shoulder with a non-slip material.

Size: Oval base is about eight inches by four and a half; body of bag about ten inches long.
