There's something about this one that makes me think of Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street, both the particular color blue and the bellowslike action of the disc front and back separated by the soft sides--like a puppet! The front and back discs are crocheted and stiffened double strands of pink, purple, and iridescent long eyelash (with all lash brought to the outside), and the stretchy sides and top flap are knitted short-haired "fur." The printed lame lining came from Grosvenor Square and the leaf-trim beading from Soho, both of London. To groom, shake vigorously, or brush with clean, dry toothbrush. The short handles are silk upholstery cord. (I have taken special orders on this design in other colors; a commission would depend on availability of the special yarns and colors.)
Size: About seven inches in diameter, exclusive of handles.
Price: $125 (stand for display purposes only)/SOLD
