These photos show two different views of one of my most complex and expensive pieces, "Flashdance," which comes with its own display stand of silver-lacquered wood. It is a crocheted sparkily iridescent-lurex envelope bag in a distinctive wave pattern, repeating that in the beaded fringe. The silver lurex comes from Palm Beach, Florida, the lavender edging yarn comes from San Sebastian, Spain, the flower-printed lame lining fabric comes from Grosvenor Square in London, and the beading is Venetian glass, bought in Amsterdam (making it a very international item indeed). The carrying strap is made by cording lengths of the bag fibers together.
Size: About ten inches wide by six inches high, exclusive of fringe (lipstick provided to give a sense of scale).
Unavailable at this time. Undergoing restoration after a rough jouney from Singapore.
