Iris takes its name from the flower one can see inside the handmade art-glass bead that serves as a button-through element to close the puse. The whole is made of four different violet and purple yarns: two different tones of cotton and rayon, one of lurex-metallic, and one silver and violet long-eyelash. The work of crocheting the eyelash yarn is very labor-intensive as all stranding has to be carriedto the outside as aonw works. The handles are vintage sixties lucite and the whole is lined with a matching violet satin. The flap that goes over the top of the purse is trimmed with different sized purple leaf-shaped beads.
Size: Approximately seven inches wide by two inches wide by six inches high, exclusive of handle.
